What is the F-CSR (Frozen CSR)?

The F-CSR (Frozen CompuSport Rating) is a snapshot of your CSR taken on a specific date and used mainly for registration purposes in some events, but depending on the event configuration, it may also be used to calculate handicaps on scoresheets. It serves as a fixed reference point to ensure fair and consistent player classification at the time of entry. Your official CSR continues to evolve normally based on your results, but the F-CSR remains unchanged for that specific event, regardless of any rating updates afterward.

How does F-CSR work?

When an event uses Frozen CSR, the organizer selects a "freeze date." On that date, every player's CSR is recorded and locked for the duration of that event. This locked value is used for:

  • Registration eligibility — determining whether a player qualifies for the event.
  • Division placement — assigning players to the correct skill bracket.
  • Handicap calculations — when the event's handicap is configured to use the frozen value (see How do F-CSR and M-CSR affect handicap calculations?).

Does F-CSR affect my official CSR?

No. Your official CSR continues to update every Monday morning as usual (see How often is the CSR updated? ). The F-CSR is a read-only snapshot that exists only within the context of the event it was set for.

Where can I see my F-CSR?

Look for the "F-CSR" label on your player card, match details, and the event wall. A "?" icon next to the label opens a short explanation. You can also view your Frozen CSR in your CSR Details page

For a full list of where these labels appear, see What are the F-CSR and M-CSR labels I see next to ratings?.
