A red handicap or average box means that the value saved on the scoresheet differs from the value the system currently calculates for that player.
This can happen when a scoresheet is prepared/filled in advance and the player’s information changes afterward.
Example with CSR:
A player is added to Monday’s scoresheet on Friday. Their CSR at that time fills the box.
Their CSR changes during Monday’s recalculation.
When the scoresheet is opened again, the saved value differs from the updated CSR, so the box appears red.
Changes to player information, such as merging duplicate player profiles, can also cause this difference.
It can also happen when the scoresheet was reopened later
When a scoresheet is reopened, the system checks the player’s current live handicap or average. If it differs from the value saved when the scoresheet was originally filled out, the box can turn red.
Does red mean the handicap is wrong?
Not necessarily. It highlights a difference so it can be reviewed. For a completed match, the player’s current value may differ from the value that applied when the match was played.
How to remove the red highlighting
A league manager can remove the red from the boxes:
Open the scoresheet.
Click Options at the bottom.
Click Reset score errors
This clears the red highlighting.
The red box does not mean the value used when the match was played was incorrect.
