You can create a separate online stat template when you want to display and rank players differently from your regular player statistics. For example, you could create a Top Shooters template.
Create the template
- Go to Menu > Manage > Statistics/Standings > Stats Model Editor.
- Select an existing Model for Players and click Duplicate. Duplicating an existing model is usually the quickest option because it copies the current setup.
If you prefer to start from scratch, click the Plus (+) above the list of models. - Rename the new model. For example: Top Shooters.
- Save the model.
Choose the statistics that will be shown
- Select the new Top Shooters model.
- In the Select fields for model section on the bottom left, click the Plus (+).
- Check the fields you want players to see and uncheck the fields you do not need.
- Click OK.
- Arrange the fields in the order you want them displayed. You can drag and drop a field, or change its Display Order. The field with display order 1 appears first.
- Click the Save icon after making your changes.
Choose how the players will be ranked
- In the Select rank fields for model section on the bottom right, click the Plus (+).
- Check the statistic you want to use as the main ranking field.
- Click OK.
- Edit the ranking field and choose the sorting direction:
- Descending: the highest value is ranked first. This is normally used for points, wins, averages and other positive statistics.
- Ascending: the lowest value is ranked first. This can be used for statistics where a lower value is better.
- If you add more than one ranking field, arrange them in priority order. The first field determines the ranking. If two players are tied, the second field is used, followed by the third field if needed.
- Save your changes.
Top Shooters example: Place the shooting statistic first and set it to Descending so the player with the highest value appears at the top. You can add Games Played, Wins or another field underneath it to break ties.
Important: The fields displayed and the fields used for ranking are configured separately. Adding a statistic to the displayed fields does not automatically use it for ranking.
Make the template available for a league or division
- Click Navigate to Stat Group, or go to Menu > Manage > Statistics/Standings > Stats/Standing Grouping.
- Select Players.
- Add a stat group by clicking on the Plus (+), select the division, click the Pencil, choose Top Shooters under Model of Statistics, and save.
The template will now use the selected columns and ranking rules on the online statistics page and in the app.
