The Lock Teams and Players feature allows Association Administrators to review tournament registrations and prevent operators from making changes once a team or player has been verified.
This means you can begin reviewing registrations before registration closes. Once an entry has been approved, simply lock it so the information stays as reviewed.
Activate the locking feature
The locking feature must first be enabled by an Association Administrator in the Advanced Settings of the Association Portal.
Once activated, lock icons will be available beside teams and players in the tournament registration interface.
How to lock a team or player
1. Go to the Association Portal.
2. Click Tournaments.
3. Open the tournament you are reviewing.
4. Go to the registration list where the teams or players are displayed.
5. Find the team or player you have reviewed.
6. Click the lock icon beside that team or player.

Once locked, the entry can no longer be modified by an operator.
What happens when a team is locked?
- All players on the team are automatically locked.
- The team's divisions can no longer be modified.
- Locked player information cannot be modified, including key information such as date of birth, skills and divisions.
- Players cannot be added to or removed from the locked team.
- Operators cannot modify the locked team or its locked players.
What happens when a team is unlocked?
Click the lock icon again to unlock the team.
Important: Unlocking the team does not automatically unlock the players on that team.
The team becomes editable again, but the players remain locked until an Association Administrator unlocks them individually.
Lock or unlock an individual player
Players can also be locked individually.
From the player list, click the lock icon beside the player you want to lock or unlock.
If the entire team is currently locked, you must unlock the team first before unlocking one of its players.
Who can unlock an entry?
Only an Association Administrator can unlock teams or players that have been locked.
Recommended workflow
As registrations come in, review the required paperwork, statistics, eligibility and division information. Once a team or player has been verified, lock the entry.
This allows you to continue reviewing registrations while registration is still open without having to repeatedly verify entries that were changed afterward.
Once a team or player is confirmed, locking it ensures that the approved information remains exactly as intended.
