What is the T-CSR (Temporary CSR) and why is it now shown in games?
The T-CSR (Temporary CompuSport Rating) is your real-time, game-by-game rating in billiards. It changes after every game you play, reflecting your immediate performance.
While it is more volatile than the CSR, the T-CSR provides a quick snapshot of your current form. Your official CSR is then calculated as the average of your T-CSR over the last 12 weeks in which you played, giving a more balanced view of your skill level over time.
CSR vs T-CSR
| CSR (Official) | T-CSR (Temporary) | |
|---|---|---|
| Update frequency | Every Monday morning | After every game result |
| Window | Average of your T-CSR over the last 12 weeks in which you played | Current game-by-game rating |
| Behavior | More stable and balanced over time | More volatile and reactive to recent results |
| Use case | Official rating, division placement, and event rules | Real-time form and match-level rating changes |
Why is T-CSR now shown in games?
When you view a game listing, the rating change shown is calculated using T-CSR because it captures your current form at the exact moment the match was played. Showing T-CSR in game listings makes the displayed rating consistent with the value that was used to compute the result.
Your official CSR remains the long-term reference used for division placement, handicaps, and event registration.
