How do F-CSR and M-CSR affect handicap calculations?

Depending on the event configuration, CompuSport can use the same rating for handicaps that it used for registration and division placement. This keeps the event rules consistent from start to finish.

How does it work?

When Frozen CSR or Manual CSR is enabled, the handicap system can use the following priority order:

  1. M-CSR — if an event manager manually assigned a rating for the player.
  2. F-CSR — if the event has a frozen CSR date and no manual value is set.
  3. Live CSR — the default when no event-specific value applies.

Example

A player's live CSR is 1650, but their F-CSR, frozen two weeks earlier, is 1620. If the event is configured to use F-CSR for handicaps, the scoresheet will calculate the handicap based on 1620 even though the player's current rating is higher.
